Mailcon

Mailcon is my way of expressing email panic states.

The current mailcon is: 4 (Busy).

My current mailcon state is elevated due to the administrative overhead associated with the start of the Fall ‘25 semester.

Mailcon definitions

	Mailcon 1	I’ve given up on email
	Mailcon 2	Insane. Responses will be delayed or may not happen at all
	Mailcon 3	Hectic. Expect a response, but there will be a noticable delay
	Mailcon 4	Busy. Expect a response, but there might be a small delay
	Mailcon 5	Under control. Expect a response in a day or so

The baseline of what to expect in terms of an email response time is documented on my email page. The comments listed above this will act as modifiers.

In any state other than Mailcon 5, it may be much faster to come see me during office hours. No appointment is needed!
